This blog is a visual articulation of MY views of the world around me. I will present various sides of arguments, and always sum them up with my own personal take.
My more entertaining/diverse/ridiculous/lovable blog can be found at http://mrjdjude.tumblr.com/ and I'll do all of my following from that blog as well!
Thanks and enjoy!

Over the weekend I was at the Humana Festival in Louisville, Kentucky. The annual festival, in its 35th year, was hosted by the Actors Theatre of Louisville. It was an interesting weekend and I plan on devoting a few blog posts or so to breaking down all of my thoughts. You can see some of the things I thought about, as well as other people tweeting during the “Industry Weekend”, at #hf35 or #hf35Q. I’m not sure what the fall out, if any, will be from some of my comments, but, ehh, I speak what I think.
This week, my primary focus is building off the excitement and great work CPT did last week. I’ll continue to work on a website, blog, and Twitter account. Our email is set up so drop us a line!
At Arena, I have a long ass meeting on Monday to discuss the planning for next season. Kinda hard to wrap my mind around Arena’s next season when I know I won’t be there for much of it, but that has to get done. Tuesday, I have a planning committee meeting for a conference we’ll have mid-May to discuss the role of Literary offices and their affect on new plays.
I’ll also continue work on Katori Hall’s May/June workshop as well as Psalmayene 24’s June workshop. I’ll keep reading A LOT this week. On the slate: Katori Hall’s Hurt Village, Psalmayene 24’s The Journey to the Door of No Return: A Hip-Hop Odyssey. Ruined by Lynn Nottage, Passing Strange by Stew and Caroline, or Change by Kushner & Tesori (the last three for our “Play Club”). I’ll also try to get some book reading in too. We’ll see…
We doing it big this weekend! All my LBs will be in town to celebrate our Kappaversary from last week. If you in the DMV, come hang with us!
